Dear member/Community Business Person

The Kane Fish and Game Club is embarking on a new activity in the club and that is the construction of two trap shooting fields. The club has received two grants from the National Rifle Association (NRA) in the amount of $5,000 each. The range grant will help with the construction costs totaling approximately $80,000, per contractor bids. The second grant will help fund the costs of developing a high school Scholastic Trap Program at the Kane Area High School. It is anticipated that construction will begin in eary spring after the snow is gone and that the trap field project will be completed in June. Area High school students grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to shoot trap for the first time and will learn gun safety and how much fun trap shooting can be whether just shooting practice or competition against other school teams.

It is believed that this new trap shooting activity will be not only beneficial to the club but also to many high school students and the community at large.

The club is asking interested individuals and businesses to support this worthy community project. Donations can be mailed to:

Kane Fish and Game Club "Trap Fund"
PO Box 621
