Coyote Hunt Rules and Regulations

  1. The hunt will officially begin at 12:01a.m. on February 22nd and will end at 1:00 p.m. February 24, 2008. All times are eastern standard time.
  2. Registration donation is $10.00 and must be paid before the hunt.
  3. Each participant must be registered. When hunting in groups, each member of the group MUST be registered or the entire group will be disqualified.
  4. No registration will be accepted after the hunt starts.
  5. Participants must possess a valid hunting or for takers license. This will be checked at Weigh-in.
  6. Coyotes must be killed during the days and times of the scheduled hunt.
  7. Kane Fish & Game Club reserves the right to have an autopsy performed on any suspicious coyote.
  8. Calls and dogs may be used during the hunt.
  9. During the scheduled coyote hunt, coyotes may be hunted in any county in Pennsylvania.
  10. Any violation of the rules of this hunt or the Pennsylvania Game laws will result in that person or group being disqualified from future hunts.
  11. Each hunter is responsible for the disposal of his/her coyote.
  12. Official weigh-ins will be done at the Kane Fish & Game Club from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday, February 22 & 23 and 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2008. Deadline for weigh-ins is 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2008.
  13. The Prize Money will be divided in half. One-half will be divided in equal amounts determined by the number of all coyotes turned in and awarded to the successful contestants. The other half will be Top Prize Money, awarded for the top three coyotes in weight, to be divided as follows:
